MY COACHING BACKSTORY
I’ve always enjoyed supporting the wins of others.
During my university years, I was drawn to outliers - the dreamers and the doers. I often found myself holding space for people in moments of reflection, and more than once was told, “You’d make a great coach.” I didn’t know what that would look like at the time, but the seed was planted. That was around 2013, which somehow feels like yesterday.
A few years later, while building a sustainability-oriented career, I found myself craving more direct impact with people. While working in environmental consulting at PwC in Mexico City, a friend introduced me to recruitment. It immediately resonated. In many ways, it felt like a practical extension of coaching - supporting people as they navigate their next step while helping leaders build thoughtful teams.
Over the next decade, I’ve worked closely with individuals navigating career decisions and leaders shaping their organizations. Through those conversations, one thing became increasingly clear: the part of the work that mattered most was helping people step back, reflect, and better understand what they truly wanted next.
That realization brought me back to the seed that had been planted years earlier - coaching.
And that’s how The Coaching Light came to be: a space for professional and leaders seeking perspective, intention, and forward momentum.
Let’s create space to get clear on what matters most to you.
